Postec DX-MC dross extractor

Designed and delivered by POSTEC Corporation.

Quoted per furnace

In use in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam

Every ladle of dross your furnace produces still holds recoverable metal. The DX-MC gets it back — in minutes, on your own floor, with no one handling hot material.

Built in Thailand

Configured to your furnace

Every model is configured to your furnace before it's built. We start from our own base design, then set capacity, cycle and configuration around the furnace you actually run.

Installation and service

Installation, commissioning, spare parts and service all come from us — not passed back to a factory you've never met.

What happens to the residue

What is left after extraction is collected under licence by Monster Tech, the group's recycling plant.

Recovery

Metal at aluminium value, not dross price

The DX-MC is a recovery machine for the dross skimmed from your furnace. It returns the aluminium held in that dross to your process, on your own floor, so the metal keeps its value as aluminium instead of leaving the plant as scrap.

  • Over 50% of the dross returned to process as aluminium

  • One operator supervises the machine instead of manual dross handling

  • Built in Thailand to a specification set around your furnace

Proven on the furnace floor

Dross isn't waste. It's aluminium you already paid for.

Automation and safety

Built around a no-human-touch principle

The newer DX-MC models automate the steps that used to put people next to hot dross. Which features come with which model is confirmed in your specification.

Process

From dross in to reclaimed metal out

One recovery cycle runs in under 30 minutes, on your own floor, with no one handling hot material.

  1. 1

    Skim

Dross comes off the furnace as it does today and goes into the DX-MC.

  2. 2

    Lock

The safety door locks automatically. The operator runs the cycle from the control panel, in auto or manual mode.

  3. 3

    Recover

The machine separates the recoverable aluminium from the dross. On the automated models, rotation and the exhaust damper run on their own.

  4. 4

    Return

Reclaimed metal goes back to your process. From dross in to reclaimed metal out takes under 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Close the loop

Why this machine, from us

Built around your furnace, not pulled from a catalogue

We start from our own base design, then set capacity, cycle and configuration around the furnace you actually run — its size, the alloy you pour, the way your shifts are organised. Getting that specification right is why the machine performs from the first week instead of after six months of adjustment.

It's also the part a catalogue supplier can't copy. Knowing which configuration suits which furnace comes from years of standing in front of them, solving the problem before we ever sold a machine.

Model range

Sized to the dross you actually produce

Recovery capacity should match what a shift produces, not exceed it — an oversized machine costs you floor space and runs below its efficient point. Tell us your furnace capacity and daily dross volume, and we'll tell you which model fits.

Residue

What happens to what is left

Once the aluminium is back in your process, the remaining residue is collected under licence by Monster Tech, the group's recycling plant. One group handles the machine and the waste stream.
